이상훈한남대학교 경제학과 교수이다. 연세대학교 학사·석사를 마치고 미국 University of Utah에서 박사학위를 취득하였다. 주 연구 분야는 응용미시, 기업지배구조, 경제사상이다. 현재는 경제뿐만 아니라 미디어, 보건, 환경, 젠더 등 다양한 사회현상에 대해 패널분석을 하고 있으며, 사회과학과 자연과학의 융합 연구에 관심을 가지고 있다. 주요 논문으로는 “Does Democracy Matter for Public Health?”, “Social Tolerance and Economic Development”, “Social Capital and Health at the Country Level”, “Media Freedom and Social Capital”, “Economic Growth and the Environment in China: Empirical Evidence Using Prefecture Level Data”, “Slack and Innovation: Investigating the Relationship in Korea”, “The Relationship between Growth and Profit: Evidence from Firm-level Panel Data” 등이 있다. 대표작
